Carpathian Mountain Cycling Tours
Join our Cycling Tours near Lviv and in the Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains. At your choice, the English speaking guide/driver will accompany you on the cycling tour and point out places of interest. Mountain bikes can be provided for the tour. In the Cycling Along Forested Trails Near Lviv tour, the trail is reached by bicycle from the center of Lviv taking about 30 minutes of riding on the streets of Lviv. For the cycling tours outside of Lviv you will be transported to the start of the cycling trail by car from Lviv. The maximum number of people that can be accommodated on our cycling tours is 2 or 3. You would need to be physically fit to enjoy our cycling tours.

Cycling on mostly paved road over an old mountain path with very little to no auto traffic as all vehicles now take the new faster road. Bikers will enjoy beautiful mountain views and ride through a remote village before taking a steep winding descent to the pickup point 25 km from the start.

Roztocha Nature Reserve Cycling Tour

Roztocha is a wooded nature preserve about 40 km west of Lviv which is known for being the watershed separating rivers of the Baltic and the Black seas. Ukraine has the eastern part of Roztocha, its western part is across the border in Poland (Roztocza). Roztocha is the land of beautiful lakes, large forested areas and villages in the Ukrainian traditional style. Its highest point 409.5 m asl is Chortovi Skeli on the outskirts of Lviv. Forested trails of Roztocha is a perfect place for cycling and are only a short distance driving from Lviv.

Cycling Along Forest Trails Near Lviv

There are perfect cycling trails through the virgin beech forest on the outskirts of Lviv, where a grassy path leads through the tree covered area before diving into the pasture above villages east of the city. The trail has some nice level stretches and moderate slopes for a good workout. This trail can be accessed on a bicycle from the center of Lviv for 2 hours of riding excitement. Most of the ride is through the beech forest, which in June 2007 was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
