Lviv Ecotour can book accommodation in the Carpathian Mountains, provide transfers to the slopes by private car and organize snowshoeing tours in Bukovel, Drahobrat, Slavsko, Volosianka, Tysovets and Oriavchyk. Our standard group would include up to 3 people, but additional arrangements can be made for larger groups. The price includes transportation and services of the English speaking driver/guide.

Snowshoeing in Carpathian Mountains

Our standard snowshoeing trails follow the summer hiking trails with great views of the surrounding mountains in favorable weather conditions. Participants are advised to bring their own snacks and a thermos with hot drinks. Snowshoeing is a relatively new activity in the Ukrainian Carpathians but has good potential with some great mountain trails.

Skiing in Carpathian Mountains

The standard day trip starts in the morning from Lviv and takes a scenic ride by private car to one of the ski areas south of Lviv. In Slavsko or Drahobrat you will cover the impassable road from the foot of the mountain to the ski slopes by a 4 wheel drive taxi. Tysovets, Oriavchyk, Bukovel and other skiing areas are accessible by a normal road. The guide will accompany you to the ski lifts where the system will be explained and assist in renting skiing gear, if needed, and then you are on your own to ski. Due to short winter daylight, ski-lifts shut down around 4 p.m., but you can find some lit runs in Bukovel and at least one in Slavsko. If you plan to spend more than one day skiing in the Carpathians, Lviv Ecotour can book accommodation in the mountains. Ski area hotels are usually booked up ahead of time for Christmas holidays and the New Year, so it is wise to plan your holiday in advance.
