Ukrainian Visas
No visas are required of the citizens of the member-countries of the European Union, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Japan and Israel to enter Ukraine. Canadian and USA citizens can also travel to Ukraine visa-free for a period of up to 90 days. Entrance visas are required for citizens of most other countries, including Australia and New Zealand. Visas are issued by Ukrainian Consulates and are not available at airports, therefore, if you need a visa for Ukraine, it needs to be taken care of in advance. You can easily find a Ukrainian Consulate in your country on the Internet.

Any moves by Ukraine to tighten its entry requirements are unlikely and would go against the general bilateral relaxation of entry requirements between the EU and Ukraine. Ukraine, together with Poland, is getting ready to receive crowds of European football fans as a co-host country for the European football cup of 2012. Cross-border procedures are expected to be further simplified, and new border crossings will be opened for the event.
